20 Years. That's how long the Columbia University Film Festival has been showcasing some of the world's most talented emerging directors, producers and screenwriters. That proud tradition continues with this year's festival—8 nights of thought-provoking screenings, gripping dramatic readings and engaging events in New York and Los Angeles.

Our Festival is the annual premiere of thesis short films and feature screenplays created by graduate students at the Film Division of the School of the Arts at Columbia University in the City of New York. This work will go on to win awards and recognition at prestigious festivals worldwide—this is your chance to discover some of the year's most exciting cinema.

Shot around the world, using techniques from 35mm film to the latest digital technologies and beyond, this year's work explores themes and topics as diverse as our MFA students. The films reflect our program's focus on narrative storytelling-as filtered through the singular vision of each individual filmmaker.

Join us as we celebrate our 20th year. We look forward to seeing you at the festival!
