Synopsis:
Bricks, Beds & Sheep's Heads is an odyssey of a Moroccan immigrant named Murad looking back at his life on Aid El Kbir. Aid El Kbir is an Islamic tradition that occurs two months after Ramadan when every family slaughters a sheep in their home. Upon reflection of his fragmented past, moments are revealed through subconscious dream as memory collides with attachment, longing and loss. On the eve of Aid El Kbir, Murad discovers the boundaries of life, and the mythic mystery of death.

Directors Bio:
Imelda O'Reilly is a native of Kildare Ireland. Her work in both theatre and film has been produced in Ireland, London, Paris and New York. Most recently, Imelda was a writer on Mabou Mines production of Song For New York performed outdoors on a barge in New York in the summer of 2007. Individual artists grants have included New York Foundation for the Arts, The Irish Arts Council, and New York Women in Film. Her feature length screenplay "Beneath the Boy's Cry" was short-listed twice for The Sundance Screenwriters and Directors Lab. It was selected to participate in Moonstone International for 2007. Most recently, Imelda was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to shoot a narrative film in Morocco in 2008.
